Booking Fee/Deposit
A non-refundable fee of 25% of the total balance is required to secure the date, acting as agreed-upon loss for cancellations. The booking fee is non-transferable, or refundable in the event the wedding date is cancelled for any reason including acts of god; fire/extreme weather conditions etc.
Final balance- Remaining final balance to be paid 8 weeks or 2 calendar months prior to the wedding date.
Additional hours
Additional hours provided outside the purchased package will be chargeable at the rate of £90.00 per hour.
Image Rights & Usage
Copyright: Images are protected by copyright; BH1Photography retains ownership.
Display Rights: I reserve the right to use any images for personal marketing unless otherwise agreed.
Client & Photographer Responsibilities
Client Responsibilities: Securing permissions for private locations, informing photographer of specific needs, ensuring guest cooperation (e.g., no guest flashes).
Photographer Responsibilities: Making efforts to fulfill client requests while maintaining artistic vision.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your booking, we ask that written notice is provided. The official cancellation date will be the date the email is received. Please note that any payments made up to that point may be non-refundable.
Because a wedding date is reserved exclusively for you and other bookings are declined, the following cancellation terms apply:
16 weeks (4 months) or less before the wedding
A cancellation fee of 75% of the full collection price will be due. This does not include the material costs of albums or photographic products that have not yet been ordered.17–35 weeks (5–8 months) before the wedding
A cancellation fee of 50% of the full collection price may be applied.36-52 weeks (9-12 months) or more before the wedding
Only the non-refundable 25% booking fee will be retained, and no additional cancellation fee will apply.
Cancellation by Photographer: Full refund of all monies paid, or rescheduling options.
Force Majeure: No refund- Clause for uncontrollable events (natural disasters, illness).
Liability & Deliverables
Liability: Limits photographer's liability for factors beyond control (e.g., weather, ruined photos).
Image Delivery: All galleries will be finished within 5-7 working days of the shoot unless otherwise agreed.
Delivery of Online Gallery, Prints, USBs, Drone footage and any additional photographic products will take place once the outstanding balance has been paid in full.
You’re very welcome to purchase extra products beyond those included in your selected collection. Any additional items ordered after the contract has been completed will simply require full payment at the time the order is placed.
Travel Expenses
Packages include a 40 mile radius of Bournemouth, Dorset. Any travel outside of this radius will be charged at 45p per mile.
Refunds
Because photography is a digital product and all images are available to preview before ordering, all purchases are considered final once an order has been placed and processed.
If you happen to notice that the wrong image was selected, please get in touch as soon as possible — ideally before the order has been fulfilled — and we’ll always do our best to help.
Refunds aren’t available for changes of mind, personal preference, or incorrect selections once the image has been delivered. However, if an error has been made on our side and an incorrect image is sent (as shown on your invoice), BH1Photography will of course provide the correct image at no additional cost.
